Luis comes from a family of entrepreneurs and, from a young age, he watched his grandfather run a very successful real estate company. This early exposure sparked his interest in one day owning a business of his own and inspired him to pursue a career in business. Alongside his passion for business, Luis has always been dedicated to serving others. In his early years, he traveled through South America and Europe on mission trips and working with humanitarian organizations.
In 2009, Luis founded a trucking company by investing all his life savings at the time. With the support of his wife and family, he purchased their first truck, with the goal of building a fleet. Through years of hard work and a commitment to excellent customer service, they grew their operations to 35 semi-trucks and trailers and over 50 employees, created a very successful company, with an amazing record in safety, on-time delivery and customer satisfaction. For 15 years, they navigated the challenges of the industry, experiencing the ups and downs of the market.
After gaining valuable experience and learning many lessons in the trucking industry, Luis felt a desire to broaden his horizons. Through his involvement with Viking, he engages with various industries, follow his passion, and apply his extensive business experience in accounting, valuations, and business decision-making. He helps sellers and buyers make informed decisions about the sale of their businesses, understanding that most businesses are a means to an end—a tool for achieving a better life. He believes that when the right time comes, there’s nothing more rewarding than being able to sell your business and enjoy the fruits of years of hard work.
As a key member of the Viking team, Luis brings a wealth of experience in business and entrepreneurship. He can relate to and effectively engage with business owners, understanding what makes businesses work and how all the pieces fit together to ensure smooth operations.
