Deborah comes to Viking with over 20+ years in working for Fortune 100 technology companies where she led the strategic acquisition of many successful entrepreneurial companies and where she developed a passion for working with business owners to reap the financial rewards of their innovation and hard work.
In 2010, Deborah launched a consulting business to drive growth, increase revenue and improve operations for a portfolio of customers ranging from entrepreneurial start-ups to corporate clients.
Throughout her work with venture backed start-ups to fast growing private equity owned companies to Fortune 500 corporations, Deborah has worked to innovate and grow revenues to maximize business value. She understands the challenges business owners face as they explore the multitude of options available to them when considering a potential business exit and is an expert in guiding owners to focus on the best next steps at any phase in their business.
In her corporate and consulting work, she has worked with a variety of industries including: Services- Information Technology, Data Storage, Healthcare, Financial; Manufacturing – Computer, Electronic, Medical, Wireless, Telecommunications; Software Solutions – Ecommerce/Retail, Consumer, CRM.
Deborah holds a Master’s in Engineering from the University of Virginia and a B.S. from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill where she currently participates as a Business Coach at the Kenan Flagler School of Business Center for Entrepreneurship, providing real life business experience to guide student business plans, many whom have gone on to launch successful companies. She also completed the Exit Planning Program at the Exit Planning Institute.
In her free time, Deborah enjoys sailing, discovering new restaurants and cuisines, and traveling to visit friends and family throughout the US and beyond.
