Born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida, Tom attended the University Florida, where he obtained Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Master of Science Degree in Accounting, graduating Cum Laude. Tom is a licensed CPA, giving him a unique combination of analytical skills, a strategic mindset, and a strong understanding of financial principles to foster exceptional client outcomes. In his role as an Advisor for Viking Mergers & Acquisitions, Tom leverages his accounting acumen to drive tactical financial decisions and deliver value-added solutions to his clients, assuring organizational growth and success.
Throughout his undergraduate studies, Tom completed a finance internship with JBT Corporation in their AeroTech Business Division, where he worked directly with the Controller and was recognized for his high achievements. He went on to complete another internship with KPMG as an Audit Intern and, upon graduating with his master’s degree, was offered a full-time position as an Audit Associate. Over the next two years in this role, Tom worked with Fortune 500 companies, supporting year-end audits through the filing of their financial statements, and performed at a senior level on private and statutory audits.
Tom gained expertise working in the Big 4 on financial analysis, exit strategy development, business valuations, financial and legal due diligence, transaction negotiations, and engaging with the C-suite. Tom prides himself on assisting buyers and sellers through a sale, providing a high level of support, insight, and integrity throughout the entire transaction, ensuring a seamless process.
As the son of an owner operator of a successful software business, Tom has firsthand insight into the personal sacrifices, operational demands, and long-term relationship investments required to build and sustain a successful company for employees and clients alike.
On his personal time, Tom enjoys fishing, hunting, golf, baseball, football, and spending time with family and friends.
