Established Firm with Strong Cash Flow and Master Plan to Continue Growing
Overview
Best known for providing exceptional high-quality, personalized care to all pets, with an emphasis on pet comfort. Hence “comfort” and peace of mind extend to their pet-owner customers. This 20+ year-old pet services business enjoys a stellar reputation after years of building confidence and trust among their affluent, repeat customers. A caring, tenured staff, expert grooming services, and expansive wooded outdoor space differentiate them from local competitors. This nearly 3-acre track of wooded, natural land is unlike most nearby kennel facilities in offering a natural experience. Well-established in the greater Charlotte, NC region, the business continues to benefit from rapid population growth, along with dramatically higher pet ownership due to the emergence of remote working during Covid shutdowns.
According to a pre-pandemic study by the American Pet Products Association, 67% of all U.S. households own at least one pet. Industry observers cite the on-going “humanization” of pets as driving the trend towards more luxury pet products and services. With this backdrop of favorable demographics and space to expand, this business is strongly positioned for explosive organic growth. They do almost no marketing beyond their website, relying instead on robust referrals from veterinarians and customers. Quality staff manage day-to-day operations, allowing the owner to step back to a largely absentee managerial role. Owner is willing to remain post-closing for a limited time to assist with a transition.
This business should appeal to strategic buyers seeking to expand their footprint, savvy entrepreneurs with pet industry interest, and financial buyers seeking add-on opportunities.
